Mando looks like it will at least have some satisfying SW action. I'm still concerned about the actual story though.
Yea that's the big question really. Story has been a big miss with most of Disney star wars. I think for many, season 3 didn't really inspire a ton of confidence either. I really hope it's great, Star wars needs a big win.

Season 1 and 2 were really good.

While I can only speculate, blame COVID and scheduling delays. I think something else went on the messed up Boba Fett and Season 3. There was still good parts to them though. Even the Kenobi series made between those shows also had glaring issues that shouldn't have been there.

Whatever that was, I don't see why they could't go back to making something great. It's not like the film will randomly have a pointless detoer filler with Jack Black and Jizzo.

For sure. I have my doubts as well. Nothing has really changed at lucasfilm so doubts are a given. I trust Jon, he seems to get it. I'm not so sure about Dave anymore. My hope is Jon had creative control and the clown squad had no influence at all.
Bingo…

Filoni is the one who could make questionable choices

He’s so loyal to George he’s 100% a prequel defender

And even though Disney made those look like the work of Stanley kubrik…they’re still BAD movies with awful characters and choices all over the place

What likely happened is the hand of the corporatist overlords in Burbank forced less adult and more “commercial” emphasis…

And you can all
But count on that not being the right choice

And of course…allowing those who don’t understand the backbone of Star Wars writing and directing Star Wars…which will never be successful. Ever

It’s not like they just had one of the greatest TV actors of the last few decades - Timothy Olyphant - sitting in a bacta tank waiting to be used again.

Anyone following the Simon kinberg stuff?

I hope it’s trolling because if it’s not…it’s just another attempt to justify failure by forcing it on people with a cattle prod

I do not want to see what happens when the man responsible for the worst X-Men and FF films gets a hold of the future of the SW franchise. So no, tuning it out and hope it goes the way of so many other “in development” Lucasfilm projects.
