How is the Gaylord Palms? I have a convention there in September. How is the transpertation to the parks? All fully registered members are getting a free night at one of the parks plus I plan on taking my GF to MK one day? Does anyone know if the buses run often (like on site resorts) or do they at least run late enough for us to see wishes?

Also, if anyone has any other information about the resort, feel free to let me know.

Thanks!

there is a shuttle bus from gaylord palms into disney, (i've seen it whilst moving around property, do not know how often it runs tho.) I would suggest contacting the hotel direct, they should be able to give you info.

I'm not sure about transportation but the Gaylord Palms resort is absolutely beautiful. There is different atriums to visit, in the everglades portion there are alligators, in the florida keys atrium is a boat that's a bar. It's just a neat place to stay. There is alot to do onsite.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Gaylord this past weekend and spent Saturday going to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. The bus picks up about every hour. There are some times where it doesn't pick up for a longer period but it's in the middle of the day. It goes to Magic Kingdom, Epcot and Animal Kingdom. Not sure if it goes to Hollywood studios but it didn't either time we took it.

Villa de Flora is delicious for breakfast and not priced that bad considering it's in Orlando and a hotel ($20 I think per person).

The hotel is really nice and probably the nicest I've personally stayed in, though the rooms itself are a bit small but I'm not sure if there are different tiers. The big pool is also open 24 hours which is nice.

I got back from the Gaylord Palms about 2 weeks ago so I figured I would just give my opinion.

The resort itself was nice. We had a balcony that overlooked the main part of the resort with a great view of the alligators (the feedings were a nice touch). The room and staff were all great. The food was good. Villa de Flora has a good breakfast spread. The steakhouse was excellent (try the ostrich). The seafood restaurant was good was well.

We never made it to any of the Parks or anything unfortunately  so I can't comment on how well that worked out. A cabride to DTD was about $20 or so.
