Just called WDW Dine and found out that the Grill will be opening June 25th. I was affraid that they were going to close this with the new retheming of the Land. Who else likes this restaurant. My son loves this place because it revolves and he can see the boat ride.

The Garden Grill is our favorite, too. I have four boys and a husband who are pretty picky eaters, but they all love the kids menu at the Grill. I am the only one who eats off the "adult" tray, but that's okay, more for me. Wish it was going to be open when we go in 12 days.

Is there any chance they'll ever do the breakfast again, or is that just a thing of the past like drive-ins, vinyl records and network programming that doesn't make me want to throw things at the TV?

Garden Grill Info

Just got back from WDW and talked to a Guest Relations person at Epcot. The Garden Grill will be essentially the same is what I was told. As far as the opening time, I don't know. The innards of the Land will not be much changed from the last Land. However, some of the food stands down in the lower part of the Land (Sunshine Food Fair) will change. Since that's such a hangout place during Florida's frequent thunderstorms during the rainy season of June-August (who would have guessed?) Disney, I guess, decided not to change that.

Garden Grille is a place we make it to everytime we go to WDW.... but June 25?! If that date sticks, we'll miss it this time, during the second week in June. Ah well, there's always something closed... I like it because it's a nice quiet way to experience a character meal, with good characters and food. It's pretty cool to see parts of Living with the Land that you can't see from the actual attraction. Anyone been to the passholder's lounge in the Land? It gives yet another view of Living with the Land - only, 2 floors above the water, instead of just the one that the Garden Grille provides...

They had an all-you-can-eat family style breakfast. Sausage, eggs, hash browns the works. They brought it out in iron skillets. Mickey, Chip and Dale made the "rounds" (ha). My kids loved it. The characters were very accessible. Not very crowded as I remember. I hope they bring the breakfast back. I was a great deal!:)
