Does anyone know if any vendors do gait analysis at the Expo? The closest running store is about an hour away, which is tough with a 5 year old.

I can't say for sure, but there were definitely shoe vendors and I'd think there are some knowledgable people working the booths.

I know it would be tough to make it up to Fleet Feet in Bham, but I would trust them over anyone. Just got fitted for a pair this weekend.

Check the program - there is a list of vendors who will be at the Expo. I'd say there's a good chance someone will have the digital foot analysis. I've seen it at just about every recent major race expo.

If my memory serves me correctly, I don't remember any vendors that had a treadmill where someone could watch and/or analyze your run at the Disney expos that I've attended in the past. I remember someone trying to sell me orthodic inserts for my shoes as they had me stand on a flat plastic board and did an analysis of my feet. The area where they have all of the vendor booths isn't very large and most of them, minus some of the large running companies, have very small booths/displays.

I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish, but hopefully not buy a new pair of shoes a day or two before the race . . . :lookaroun. If that's the case I would definitely plan on going to the running store 30 minutes away. While one of the vendors might have some shoes you like there, they're limited on what they do carry as they don't bring a ton of inventory with them.

Many of the recent races I've done had a vendor at the Expo where you stood on a small scale-like device that produced a heat & pressure signature image. I'm not sure what they were even selling, but I think it was for orthotics. Don't remember a company name.

Yep I did the same exact thing. I didn't end up buying them but it did make sense what they were saying. When they had me try them out it definitely felt a little wierd, but I've never used an orthodic before.
