I guess they had to relocate after a bug's land closed

You beat me to it.... :p

But at those prices they had to come in with a rich person. ;):p:cool:

It sucks that happened, they need to fumigate. Wasn't a wing of GCH recently (within the last 12 months) shutdown for refurb? If so I wonder if they fumigated that section at the same time.

This is not the first time the Disneyland Hotel has had the Bed Bug issue in its Hotels.

Look for Beagles that are trained to sniff out Bed Bugs, and special Heaters that are placed in rooms to basically cook the Bed Bugs to death.

One problem with the resort's high occupancy rate is that Disney has to cancel reservations, something it hates to do. So the rooms go untreated for awhile, as the Heat process takes a couple of days.

Another reason to go to Hilton.

Or the new Westin when it opens.

Plenty of great quality Hotel Rooms that come with Breakfast and other perks at a much more reasonable price than the Disney Three. Heck many of their rooms are at least 30 years old, though refreshed.

You sure don't want those suckers coming home with you. It is said they're an absolute nightmare to deal with.

There are reports of them in just about every hotel at one time or another. But the resort hotels do seem worse.

That is why it is best to stay where reports are least frequent, check your room for signs, and take every other precaution.

Fortunately there is an effective treatment for them again called aprehend. Available in every state, but california.

Another reason to go to Hilton.

At a huge discount compared to what the Grand Californian charges. I have family who now stays at the Hotel Montage in Laguna, at the same prices or slightly less than what the GCH charges, and then Ubers up to the Grand Californian and back on their Disneyland day, and still saves 100 or 50 bucks per day. And they get customer service and amenities that are far beyond the Grand standards.

Their last visit at the Grand was two years ago, when a grumpy potato-like woman CM in an ill-fitting polyester uniform barked at them for walking across an empty Grand Californian valet driveway instead of using the sidewalk. That was it for them, they booked the Montage on their next visit and they’ve never looked back.
