Future World Closing Hours??

Can anyone help me with a (slightly trivial) question, please?

I have seen it said in a few places that when Future World closes earlier than the World Showcase in Epcot -- as seems to be the case right now, i.e., Feb. '03, with FW closing at 7:00 p.m. and WS closing at 9:00 p.m. -- that nonetheless several of the popular Future World attractions remain open until the later closing time for World Showcase.

Is this true? And, if so, can you generalize about the waiting times for these attractions (Test Track, Honey I Shrunk . . ., etc.) during these "extended" hours relative to times during FW's "regular" hours?

(My family has a trip scheduled for 3/22/03-3/30/03, and I'm obsessively planning to maximize our value during this period when the posted park hours are surprisingly short.)

Thanks for any scoop you can provide!

Test Track, HISTA, Figment, Spaceship Earth are some if not all of the attractions open.

HISTA wasn't long during Christmas, neither was Figment or SE. All had less than 5 minutes, depending on showtime for HISTA. I stayed away from Test Track, but I would imagine its line will be the longest out of anything open, but it shouldn't be too unbearable I wouldn't think.

Mousegear, Art of Disney, and the pin station all stay open until 9 as well.

Innoventions also stays open later, but that may be changing soon.

The lines are usually short (depending on when you go). The only ride that has a longer line in Test Track. It isn't nearly as bad as during the day though.

Why do they close FW earlier than WS ? After all, 90% of all guests leave via FW. The other parks don't have two tiered opening and closing hours, why does EPCOT :veryconfu

It seems to me that the idea behind "closing" FW early could be just to funnel the crowd towards the back of the park and to WS, where many of the more popular shops and stores are. Also, it gets people back into the area of the park where the food is much more expensive, should a family decide to sit down to dinner. Seems like a moneymaking enterprise to me, as are most things Disney nowadays.
