Just got back and when the ride ends and you are supposed to de-butt the ride car. The announcement says "please stand up before exiting the car". o_O

I heard this and looked straight at the CM and she knew exactly what I was thinking...

She says "Well you have to stand up", to which I replied "Yes I agree, but how many people have crawled or slid out?" She just said back "You think to much".

Well, I have a friend who is a drama queen (to put it mildly). We went on the ride - and mind you the ride is fully visible, there is no hidden shockers ahead.... I get on the ride and I am prone to motion sickness, but I can ride this with no issues. She gets on with me and about 1/4 the way through starts to scream like she is being dragged across a field of glass. We get to the end of the ride and she decides to go full on drama. She sits in the car, shaking, crying, and whining, "I can't get up, I can't walk...." The poor CM looks at me, and asks if we should get a medic. I said, no, we are fine. After about 30 seconds, she gets up with a stagger/crawl, and acts like she just free dove off the highest building in the world and her landing was not assured. (Bear in mind she has done Everest, Space Mountain, etc with NO issues.)

So, at least one person did not stand to get off of the ride. :)

I didn't even know they had a ride called Primeval World at AK...I plan on really doing this park on my trip..
Trust me, you don't want to ride Primeval Whirl. The area it's in, Chester and Hester's Dinorama, is just a simple carnival with an elaborate backstory nobody knows about that was slapped on as an excuse.

That said, enjoy AK. Despite its flaws, it is a wonderful park.

Oh I love that CMs comments!

That attraction just has weird Karma and vibes. I was visiting my DS, a CM and off duty. We were waiting for my DD to come out of the ladies room right to the side of Primeval. Both my DS and I are leaning on the rails on the side with a good deal of space between DS and me, just watching the little coaster swirl around when Daisy Duck out of nowhere comes up and starts flirting with DS with gestures and it escalated from there with some touching and rubbing up....he was stunned, me mouth drops open, DD comes out of ladies room and the two of them high tail it to queue.

DS has never actually worked in a park or resort, has many CM friends but not any that are characters. Till this day we never figured out if this Daisy knew him, another CM put Daisy up to it or if Daisy was really having some fun with him. And you never really know who is in there. We always kinda cringe as we go into that area now of Primeval. lol.

The message isn't there to prevent people from crawling or doing something else ridiculous. It's to keep people from putting their foot out of the side to get leverage to then get up (as one might do while sitting in a car). By doing something like that on a moving vehicle, there is potential for you to get hurt as your foot attempts to stay in one place and the vehicle keeps moving. By standing up and then stepping out in one fluid motion, you do not run that risk.

Oh sure there's no denying there is ultimately a good reason for the message... it's really the fact that there needs to be one to begin with that speaks volumes about people these days. :)

Are those the people with 6 foot long legs? With that seat safety bar in the way I cannot even get my leg near the outside of the car and I'm 6'1".

I had Mickey feeling me up one day and "flirting" with me or at least it seemed that way. First thought was by the size I bet that's a girl in the Mickey outfit or at least I hope so. LOL. That stopped me dead in my tracks. Creepy? A little. A quick strange encounter at MK, yes it was.

Yeah, we didn't know if Daisy Duck was a guy or a gal. He wasn't going to open up a can of worms by balking, just high tailed it to the queue. It was very creapity.

I think Mickey was a female because Mickey was maybe 5'7" and the arms were skinny. If I knew what was coming I would have gone for better hand placement on the hug, LOL. I could have figured it out from there. Only rated G touching while in the parks. Don't want the kids memories to include a princess, myself and security escorting me out of the parks.

And that is where my DS was at too. Being a CM he was really caught off guard, Disney has little tolerance for onstage or offstage disruption to the Magic. The whole thing could have backfired to him. And he didn't know if one of his CM friends were pulling a prank, which if it was a prank nobody ever owned up to it. He leaned more to Daisy not knowing he was a CM too and was just messing with him. He went with Daisy being a girl under there, easier for him. lol

Ahhh yes the human race... the folks that need to be told to stand up before exiting the ride vehicle are on par with folks who see 10 signs that you may get wet on Splash Mountain and then complain when they get off that they got wet. :D

Oh man those are my favorite people. During my last trip in July (mind you it was incrediably hot and humid) the cool down would have been an awesome relief to anyway. This young woman was on the same log as us and starts screaming bloody murder when she was soaked at the thorn patch portion of the ride. My friend made a comment like image whats going to happen when we go down the plunge. This woman was screaming her head off when we exited the ride. She was yelling at CM's and everything. Eventually a manager came over and calmed the situation by giving her a new dry Tshirt. It was ridiculous.
