Full-Time vs. Part-Time

Hi there! I just wanted to ask a few questions in regards to working full-time and part-time at Disney World FL.

1. How hard is it to get a part-time or full-time position (full-time specifically)?
2. What is the hourly cap for working part-time?
3. How difficult would it be to ask for more hours if I felt I needed more work hours?
4. Typically, how many hours a week does a full-time employee work (Looking at positions such as attractions, bus driving, or hospitality)?
5. If there is a very big work-load for full-time, are the full-time benefits worth the large workload?

Thanks in advance!

1. depends on what job you apply to
2. part time cap is a 24 hour average over 6 months. when you reach this you are no longer allowed to work until you drop below a 24 hour week average.
3. you can always pick up more hours on the hub or from co-workers.be aware new part timers are not guaranteed hours.I know some in Animal kingdom f&b who have not been scheduled one shift in 5 weeks but are picking up shifts on hub. I know some in MK who are only scheduled one shift per week.
4. again depends on job. Ft is a minimum of 30 hours a week. I know several people who are being scheduled 70 hours a week.
5. Look at the benefits. That is a personal choice. Do you need medical dental and vision? That is the biggest benefit to being full time versus part time.

Full time and part time placement dependents on the need of the area. And it depends on how many full timers are on wait list trying to transfer to different jobs . It's easier to get full time and part time in attractions.
