Frozen: Your Thoughts and Opinions

Excellent. I'm hopefully going to see it again, this time in 3D, and I NEVER go see movies in 3D (except in WDW, obviously ;)).

You can tell I liked it because this week, my English degree has kicked in BIG time- I've been going over the film in my mind, thinking about themes and symbolism and listening to the soundtrack for contextual clues to support the arguments I'm forming. I might even bring a notebook when I see it again. :bookworm:

Also, the "Let It Go" sequence is to this movie what the Hulk/ Loki scene was to the Avengers.

Bottom line- while both Tangled and Wreck-It Ralph were very good, Frozen has a level of depth and sophistication to it's overall storytelling, from the animation to the story to the songs and more, that is unmatched by virtually any Disney film to date. Plus, it hits all the traditional beats you crave from a Disney film if you don't want to go deep. It works on so many levels. It's going to win at least one Oscar this year, if not several; mark my words.

Things Frozen should win unless the academy loses it
Best original song: Let it go
Best Animated Feature
Also Get a horse deserves the best animated short.
I really never thought there would be a year where WDAS would outshine a Pixar in about every category.

By the way they released the full hd scene to let it go, for any naysayers who still are on the fence for the film, although your computer screen does not give it justice.

Heck, I think Frozen is a very strong contender for a Best Picture Nomination.

I saw Frozen earlier today and was wondering what everyone else thought of it. I thought it was the best Disney movie since The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King.
Couldn't agree more. The movie was amazing, best Disney has done in a long time. As for the weak villain, I felt like it was more a monster inside kind of villain to go along with the Prince. I had a two year old with me and she watched the whole thing without a peep she was mesmerized.

Completely agree with the Villain quote. Great movie!!! We seen in 3D and I think it made the movie that much greater!! Thinking about seeing it again!

Good Movie...But, a very very weak villian...

The movie did not need and over the top, cackling villain. The main source of conflict was the relationship between the two sisters and the barriers between them was what had to be overcome. This made the movie far more interesting and less like Pochantas which felt it needed a single "evil" entity, when it really didn't.

exactly not every film needs a direct villain in a cloak scheming the entire film! This was more about Elsa's lack of control on her powers, self doubt was the enemy. Hans was just a man who was manipulative and in the right place at the right time. In fact he did do some good, saving elsa although his reasons were selfish.

Frozen doesn't really have a villain. There are two men (Hans and The Duke of Weaselton) who try to take advantage of the situation but they are not traditional villains just self centered opportunists.
