British website BabyCentre.com has reported that for the first time, the name Elsa has cracked the top 100 most popular names

Kristoff, Hans, and even Sven are up big percentages. Olaf, sadly, is only up 4 percent (but 100 percent of Olafs do enjoy warm hugs).

I have a new grandniece named Elsa, but then she has a cousin named Eowyn, so i guess we're an equal-opportunity family.

Well, I know someone who's given their daughter the middle name 'Anna' (which she insists is nothing to do with Frozen, but I strongly suspect is judging by her dedication to the film), but I also know someone who's named their hamster Olaf and my sister very nearly named our new puppy Elsa a few months ago. Never underestimate the pet name boom!

I think it'll be funny to look back in a couple of years at all these children named after whatever fad was big at the time. My friend's niece is named Bella. Unfortunately for her, the parents had no idea about the Twilight craze and thought they were being original. Turns out every person who meets their daughter has to ask "Oh Bella? You mean like Twilight"?
