Not a major update but I thought I'd inform everyone that starting today, May 19th, all of Frontierland will be using new costumes. They are switching over to one costume for all attractions in Frontierland.

It's all about money--a single costume saves money and the new spiel and gates make the insurance companies happy...the new show...we will have to wait to see the new show to see if it was meant to save money.

It's definatly all about money. The problem is that I'm not a fan of the new costumes. I work on Splash Mountain and the majority of the Splash employees would rather keep the old costume. The new ones are uglier and heavier.

I may just not have that great of an attention to detail, but aren't the costumes for the different fantasyland rides the same also? If not, I think they are pretty similar, right? SM and BTMRR are both part of a land that I think the same costume would be just fine. However, if they are indeed "ugly", that is a real shame. If anyone can snap a photo and show us, I would greatly appreciate it so I can make my own opinion.

Are these same costumes also worn at Pecos Bill's restaurant or just the actual attractions in Frontierland?

As for the new safety spiels, I'm glad they are updating them to address the ever increasing concern of theme park safety. Its much easier to prevent something than to deal with any type of injury (both physically and emotionally)

So you guys all have the BTMRR style costumes now, or is it the Frontierland Strip type costumes?

I know... it's a very nice feeling. Unfortunately, I never get to do anything FUN there. It's all work... BUT it's nice to just see the guests having fun, too.

HAHA -- I can say that too. Sometimes I just "Mosy" on over to WDW, but I go to have fun..I only have 4 months left, till I become a Disney Cast member. Actually, all this week, since we have finals, and were getting out of school at noon, my friend and I have been taking the city bus to WDW, but we havent seen the new costumes yet, as we havent been to MK yet this week. We are planning on going tomorrow, as the bus drops us right off at the TTC.

It's not just a job, it's an adventure. WAIT! My bad, that's the army! Maybe it is just a job... but with cool animatronics!

Today was my first day at work with the new costumes. What I didn't realize was that the woman and men now have different shirts. Similar style shirts only the mens are blue and the womans are purple.
