From Port to POP

Cruisin' in April 2015 and plan on staying at pop for a few days after, my question is - if we rent a car from the Port of Miami and drive to MCO turn the car in, do you think we would be able to hop on a Magical Express and ride to POP? We use the busses while on property so if I dont have to pay for a rental car to sit in a parking lot for a week, that would be great... TIA

Isn't there a rental place near disney? Maybe you can rent from them and drop it off at the rental near disney and take a cab to Pop? Check the local rental places, I even think there is one close to the swan?

Consider dropping the car off at the Dolphin or the Car Care Center. Then use Disney transport to get to Pop.

...presuming that the rental company is National or Alamo.

Most other major companies have desks at the hotels on Hotel Plaza Blvd, so you could drop it off there and walk to Downtown Disney.

As a last resort, if for some reason you do have to drop it off at MCO (like if it's a major price difference), you *can* take Magical Express between the airport and the hotel. There is no requirement that you be arriving on a flight to board the bus, just that you have a Disney hotel reservation. Just don't try to get Central Reservations to try and set it up for you. Instead call DME directly at 866-599-0951 and talk to them. They're much better prepared to get you in the DME system for a non-typical arrival situation.
