Friendship Boat

Any Friendship Boat fans out there? I witnessed a delivery of a brand new Friendship Boat this morning (still wrapped up but if you saw it, you'd know what it was) in the Cast parking lot of Epcot (CENTER). Don't know if this is a brand new boat to the fleet or just a replacement for one of the existing Friendship's. After all, the existing boats look pretty bad. Just thought I'd post about it here before I forget after falling back asleep.

I doubt it was actually a new boat. Most likely one of the fleet being returned from central shops after a full refurbishment and paint job.

Nah, they had to get more when DHS and the Crescent Lake resorts opened. Those are serviced by Friendships, right? What are the boats on Bay Lake/Seven Seas Lagoon called? I love the boats but haven't memorized their names.

A/C?! I had no idea they had a/c on those boats. We were far less fortunate on the boats from Wilderness Lodge.

On Bay Lake they are cruisers and have a different shape. I'll try to dig up something on them.

Sounds most likely that it is just back from refurb. Either way though glad they are at least maintaining the fleet.

In my experience, the supposed A/C on the Friendship boats is either not working or, just not enough to actually keep the boats cold. Which actually makes them hotter because they are so closed in, unlike the open air boats which service the MK.

And as scenic as the ride from Epcot is on a Friendship boat, man are they slow!
