free dinning

Ok so when we went in 2010, Disney offered the free dinning in September. We are betting that they do it again this year for our trip. Can anyone tell me what dates the free dinning has run in the past? I know that cms always say that its never a guarantee but they always have it at some point in the fall. Any help please? thanks

You know, I'm wondering about the same thing. I am also wondering if the prospect of opening some of the FLE areas will be enough enticement for guests to return to WDW without the benefit of fall discounts/free dining.

That historical release date link from Mousesavers should do you some good...love that thing!

They did offer free dining for Canadians up until sept 29/2012 if it was booked before dec 15/2011. so we are going sept 29- oct 13th. we are hoping they extend it a little so we can go a little bit later in October. I would assume since it was offered to Canadians, it will be offered to Americans for the same time frame.

Och Aye The Noo!

So is it being offered now to Americans or no? Also if we book now and its not offered, we can still add it later correct?

Put on a Scottish accent, tell them your real names Hamish Sporran fae Auchtermucter in the north of Scotland. That always works for us,only joking,I'll leave the sensible answer to your fellow Americans.

i've been checking on that too as we went ahead and made reservations for the end of september.

the cm's that i talked to in reservations and dining reservations both told me that we can make reservations now and if a promotion comes up later, like the free dining, that it CAN be changed up to 45 days before you arrive. after that i think there is a charge for it to be changed.

so, i'm hoping that the free dining comes back out again for us in the states.

Just FYI, booking now and hoping for a promotion later actually decreases the chances of promotions being offered later. If rooms are booked, Disney has no incentive to offer promotions.

(Yes, I'm making this a pet cause.)

The only problem wit not booking is trying to get all of your reservations, dinner and resort plus any special requests in. I dont like the idea of having to wait unitl the last minute to try and get everything in. Also, last time we went, Disney changed the night they show Fantasmic at HS a month and a half before we were to be there. Since we love that show,we had to make adjustments to our reservations to accomodate it. Im the planner just want to get the most out of the trip, get free dinning and we can do something else.

So book at 180 days. Prior to that, there's really no upside unless you just have to have a specific room.
