This is our 1st year with AP's, that means we are out for Free Dining. As a family of 8 the Free dining was usually a pretty good deal for us

If you can float the money, you can always book the Free Dining package with the minimum number of days required on the tickets and then save the ticket to use toward renewing your AP's in the future...
Though you'd have to do the calculations. With 8 people, a room only discount plus the Tables in Wonderland card is more likely your most economical option.
