FREE DINING PLAN THIS FALL?

Hi,

I understand WDW usually offers a free dining plan (or room discount) during the "off season" months in the fall. We are planning a trip in September...and our agent told us they didn't see this promotion available this year.
I found this very strange as we have annually received pamphlets in the mail promoting this.

Does anyone here have any info on this?

We were also told the same thing by a customer service rep when we booked our trip last week that they had usually heard about it or seen it by now but for some reason haven't so far this year. I thought that was odd because normally it is not announced this early. Idk if they just have insider info or what. Keep your eyes open because it seems to me lol it's announced quite a bit later than this normally.

Am I correct that when the free dining plan is offered, it usually runs from early Sept - Halloween?

No its not. Historically it is usually announced between March to early May. I spoke with two of my friends that are licensed travel agents who specialize in Disney trips. Both stated that they have never heard of the discounts for Fall announced this early.

2011 = April 28
2012 = March 1
2013 = May 6
2014 = May 2

We took advantage of the free dining plan last Sept and we booked our trip May 8, soon after it was announced. The promotion ran for stay dates of mid-August through very early-October.

I just talked to my travel agent. She said start looking for it in March.
