free dining plan question

Quick question..I have to book my trips in January because of work. Free dining isn't offered then..do they make an adjustment? If I call them tomorrow and add the dining plan, will I still get it free even though the trip is already booked?:shrug: TIA.

I'm not entirely sure what you mean by adjustment...

Free dining is only available during stays in late-August/September/early-October[?] at the moment. If you're going in January and want the Dining Plan you'll have to pay for it at the regular price.

If [and it's a highly unlikely if] they were to at some later date offer Free Dining for the time frame you're planning to be there you can call and ask them to change your reservation to include it. I wouldn't hold my breath, they are not likely to offer it in January.

Promotions are offered to fill rooms at the resorts during specific time periods.

Free Dining is usually offered to fill rooms during August and September.

Promotions for travel dates past October 3 have not yet been released.

Once promotions for your dates are available, then you can try and take advantage of them.

I think the original poster might mean that he has to actually book the trip in January ,but the trip is scheduled for Sept/October when the free dining is offered. Since they weren't giving free dining when he actually made the call to book the trip, he wants to know if they can/will add it for him now. I suspect that this is possible, but don't know the details on how it works . . . that's why i always let Pam at KK do things for me - she's the true expert!

If thats the case, when he finds out about Free Dining, usually end of March/beginning of April, he just needs to call Disney and see if they can add Free Dining to his reservation - in most cases they can - some resorts sell out faster than others for a promotion, so there is a chance that he may need to change resorts to get the promotion.

If I am reading your post correctly, I assume that you mean you are booking a September trip in January, correct? If that is the case, assuming they offer free dining for your travel dates, you can call and modify the reservation to include the free dining.

Assuming your stay is over the free dining plan offer (Aug-Oct) then you MAY be able to still get it. Each resort only does a certain amount of free dining plans so if your resort is "sold out" of the free dining plan, then you might not get it.

Yes, I am going in September but I always have to book before they release the dates for free dining. I'll try calling to see if I can add it..if I can't get it free then I may just go without it this time. I really splurged for this trip, and booked Club Level(Poly) so there will be times we can eat in the lounge instead.

Call asap to see if you can have the discount added to your reservation. There are still a lot of rooms left with the free dining promotion so you may be able to get it. If it is not available at your resort ask them where it is available so that you can still take advantage of it.
