Free Dining in Sept ends 25th. Can I make reservation for the 25th and really arrive the 26th?

Kind of a confusing question!?!?!

We are scheduled to arrive on the 26th of September, but the free dining plan ends on the 25th. If I book my trip for the 25th and pay the extra night to get the free dining plan, but really arrive on the 26th would I still get the free dining? Or do you have to physically check in to the hotel on the 25th? Please let me know. I find it to be really worth if ror a family of 4 to pay the extra night to get the free dining.

Thoughts would be great!!!

I would have to say no, you would have to show ID and have a credit card when you check in. If you are not there they would no show the room and not only would you miss out on the dining plan they would re-sell your room as soon as they got a chance and you would lose that too. This is my experience from 4 years working at Disney and 4 years working in hotels...never worked in a Disney hotel but I would think similar policies apply.

Can you arrange to arrive earlier? Like someone said, if you are arriving even 1am or 3am you can check in at that time and they would likely give some more leeway. Anytime after 5 or 6am would be unlikely.

Your best bet is to just call Disney and ask to be sure.

Just throwing this out there.....

What if she was actually planning on showing the 25th and weather had her stuck in her home city because her flight was cancelled? That has to happen all the time. Especially in hurricane season and winter.

I am sure they wouldn't penalize you if that happened. Maybe she could just call and say she has an emergency and can't fly out until the 26th. She is paying for the room after all.

Exactly. My thoughts are that if the trip is fully paid for and you tell them you're delayed, they'll hold it for you. They'd rather keep your 2k+ versus refunding you $100 and then trying to fill the room on no notice.

I agree with you! My thing is that I really want to get the dining plan so would be wiling ot pay for the extra night of the room, but might not be able to check in until the next day because of a conflict. I guess my best bet is to call and find out what they do if there happened to be a "delay" in my flight!
