Free Comic Book Day is May 3, 2014. What should I expect?

We (DBF & I) are planning on hitting about 10 different comic book stores from WPB to MIA but was wondering if we will be walking into a mob scene? I've never attended this event as I've only just started collecting comics. Any tips?

I have never done the free comic day, but I would not expect absolute mob scenes. Sure you will see more people than a regular day simply because the word "free" is there, but the majority of comic book stores I go into are sparsely populated with customers.

@Master Yoda we had a good experience with free comic book day. 1 of the 7 stores we went to was absolutely mobbed and we just walked in and out but the others were well managed. Got 27 free comics, bought some from the $1boxes for $.20-.50 and got some others to fill in some gaps in my collection. Plus got free pizza, soda, tshirt and a poster. Will def do this again next year!
