FP+ with Xmas party?

Ok, I know this question has been asked a million times, but I keep forgetting what the deal is with it. We are doing the Xmas party next month and this will be our only trip to MK (not doing the park during the day, only the party). Is there a way to get FPs prior to the party start time? I know you can't for the official party time (7:00pm and later), but since we can enter the park at 4:00pm, can we get them for that 3 hour window? Thanks in advance and sorry if this has been covered recently!

The best you can do is something like:

3:30pm-4:30pm
4:30pm-5:30pm
5:30pm-6:00pm

First you have to make FP selections for all your other days. Make selections for the party day LAST.
Also it has been iffy for the last 3 years and some people have experienced receiving an email that says you don't have enough ticket media for the amount of FP's selected so if you don't cancel your party day FP's within 24 hours your last day of FP's will be deleted. If you get that email it WILL happen.
The key to avoid being "flagged" is to avoid contacting Disney between the time you make your FP selections and the time you go on your trip.
Calling them seems to put things into motion.

Now to answer your question yes you can make FP's officially from 4pm-6pm (park closes at 6pm) and unofficially you could make them for earlier in order to actually get 3 in. (like 3:30pm-4:30pm, 4:30pm-5:30pm, and 5:30pm-6pm)

Ok, cool! We actually do not have tickets for any other days, just the party. We are just doing this the night before our cruise since we've never done a party before. Thanks for the tips!
