FP+ Problem

Yesterday was the first day of my 60 day window to book FP+'s. I was at the computer at 5am central (6am eastern) only to find out that the computers and telephones open at 7am eastern. Now, this may have been my bad, but I thought you could get in on the computer at 6am eastern. But that's not the real problem.

When 7am eastern rolled around, my dates of my rez booking - 9/26 through 10/2 - opened up. It seems to me that previously you could book the entire 60 days, but this time I had 30 days available, 29 days I couldn't book, and then the 7 days of my hotel rez. But that's not the real problem either.

When booking, I'm used to them posting 3 suggested times, and then being able to pull up more times - like 10 or 15 different times throughout the day that might be more convenient. But when I selected "More Times", it showed me the exact same 3 times, and no more! Over a 7 day stay I was never able to book more than 2 FP+'s on any one day. Their times would be like 9:05a, 11a, and 1:30p. There was always something in the way, preventing me from booking more than 2 FP+'s. This is NOT the way I remember it from the past. Did they make a recent change, or is the computer fouled up, or what?

They changed things in February.

You no longer get to book all days up to and including your check-in day. What you got showing date-wise was the next 30 days, because anyone can book those even if staying offsite, and then for your actual onsite stay.

As for the times you were given. You were always shown three times, they must have altered things a little. Once you have an FP booked, you can go and modify it, and that’s when you will see all available times.

I don’t understand what stopped you making FP #3 though. What was “in the way” that meant you couldn’t, or thought you couldn’t” book a third? I’m wondering if you’re aware of two main rules about pre-booked FPs, namely:
- All pre-booked ones have to be in the same park
- Epcot, AK and DHS all have tiers; you may only book one tier 1 FP and two tier 2 FPs (or three tier2 FPs).

I’m going to guess you were trying to select a second tier1 FP in those parks. Did you try to book a third on any day? What error message were you given? You can go back in now and book your 3rd for each day.

Epcot tier 1 are: TT, Soarin, FEA, Illuminations
DHS tier 1 are : all rides other than Star Tours
AK tier 1 are: FoP and Navii

And it is 7am ET for booking FPs.

This is exactly what I found.

Again, I discovered this just now. I don't see why they can't make the multiple times available when you first book it.

Let's say I had a ride booked for 9:30 to 10:30, and then another one from 1pm to 2pm. Anything that I wanted for the time in between 10:30 and 1pm just wasn't available. Today I was able to juggle things around to where I could get 3 FP+'s, but it sure was a hassle. I would have to cancel the 1pm to 2pm booking, book an attraction in for say 1:30 to 2:30, then go in and modify it to say 11am to 12pm, and then re-book the 1pm to 2pm thing. Like I say, a big hassle!

You shouldn’t have to go through all that! Were you using the app or the website? You should see available times for other FPs as long as they don’t overlap with your existing ones.

Well, that was my problem. I could only see the 3 times that they were pushing, and when I clicked to see more times, it gave me the exact same 3 times. Now, if I booked it, and went in to modify it, THEN I could see many possible times. But I had to be able to book it to see this, which meant that I had to cancel other times so that there was no overlap, then modify, then RE-book the FP+ that I had canceled. It really was a pain.

And this was all on the website.

Sounds like there was some kind of glitch. It shouldn’t be doing that.

There were problems today at MK. Systems went down at the tapstiles and GS were having to process people in, leading to 2 hr waits. My guess is the FP system was screwed at the same time.

-6am eastern is for ADR's. 7am eastern for FP+. That's not new.

-Sounds like you may have a split stay? Its 60 days from each stay. (Changed earlier this year)

-Perhaps there really weren't more times to choose from or there was going to be overlapping times so they showed you a later time. For anything that is not an extremely popular attraction you should have easily seen TONS of openings throughout the day. Also refreshing can help bring up new times that may not have been listed before.

Unrelated, but when I go to disney.go.com today and attempt to price a vacation, the site keeps switching to the European version, with euros instead of dollars, etc. Every single time. I manually corrected this at the top of the screen (switched from European to United States), then as soon as I clicked any link, it reverted to European.
That's a new one for me.

That's what i thought, I can't help on this one, we just booked all our FP a week or so ago but we have a package, I would think it has to be a glitch for AP holders?

There was a major problem with the systems yesterday, two or more hours of delays to get into MK whereby only magic bands could be scanned. There were also other people reporting issues with FP bookings over on the DIS. Seems like the FP system was somewhat affected.

Nope - 6 nights at CSR (in the new tower!)

Nope - just the three. I had to actually book at FP+ and then go in to modify it before the system would show me the complete list of FP+'s available. Strange.
