Fox and the Hound 2 preview

My daughter is going to a preview of "Fox and the Hound, Friends Forever" tonight!

She has a very good friend on her cheerleading squad whose mother works at one of the music publishing companies here in Nashville. Apparently the movie's soundtrack is mostly country songs by the likes of Reba McEntire and Trace Adkins.

I'll let you know what she says about it!!

She just got home and said the preview was cute. The film is not finished yet so what they saw was rough. Some scenes were still in the pencil stage and some were unfinished computer graphics. She was told the dvd would be out sometime in December 2006.

If anyone is interested in hearing more details about the actual story let me know and I'll ask her for more details.

I love The Fox and the Hound, it's a great movie and it brings back great memories.

WHY? WHY?

I certainly didn't mean to upset anyone. If you don't want to see the sequel then don't, I love the original as well.

Cinderella 2 in my opinion was awful but, it does not in any way affect my love for the original film so what does it hurt?

By slowly killing the disney classics by making half-as_ed prequels and sequals that discount the credibility of Disney's movies on the whole...

But I wouldn't worry, you aren't the one who upset us, disney toon studios did.

Nope - they do it to try and rip us off. Make poorly thought out, badly animated films using cheap labour and then have the nerve to sell them for the same price as regular full budget films.

Whilst not all of them smelled badly of stools, most of them have done.

Yeah, this is one of my personal all-time favorites as well, and I had no idea they were doing a sequel. Still, I'll give it the benefit of doubt. I really like both Lady and the Tramp 2 and 101 Dalmatians 2, so maybe some good will come out of this one.

Pretty much the only direct to video sequal that I liked was Lion King 1 1/2. THAT was well done. Other movies were really sub par. By far the worst one ever made is Little Mermaid two. Oh my god, that was aweful. The Penguin and the Walrus annoyed the heck out of me. And why is it that the villains from the first film happen to have an evil brother or sister?

I am not mad at those that watch sequels, I thought Lilo and Stitch 2 was GREAT. But it is incredible. There maybe like 5 Disney movies that do not have sequels.

The original Fox and The Hound is such a sweet story-- always gets me crying for some reason!

Yeah. I don't know if it's a Disney original or if it was based on something else, though. In fact, I'd love to have a list of which Disney classics are original and which aren't.

The Fox and the Hound makes me cry too and it is one of my all time favorite Disney movies. Right on up there with the classic ones. I don 't have an objection to a sequel as long as its done well. I would look forward to more of a good thing. Does anyone know if there is any The Fox and the Hound merchandise for sale or any reference to it in Disneyworld? I don't remember seeing anything before.
