Four days in Disney World?

So my family wants to go to Disney World, my mom is super excited about it but thinks we will all get tired of it quickly. She wants to go for only four days, i really don't think that is long enough! But that sounds like she is sticking to it, so if you only had four days to do Disney World what would you do?

(Also what would be the best things to do for a 8 year old who loves princesses?)

Four days is frequently all we can manage. We get park hopper passes, make sure we hit each park at least once, maximize EMHs and spend every waking moment in a park except for the great meals we book (one sit-down per day). You can do it, but you will feel rushed. I'd say it's not ideal for a first trip, but it's certainly doable and better than nothing! (In December we only had 3 days at Disney - we spent 1 day divided between EPCOT and DHS; 1 at MK; and 1 at AK. We ran ourselves ragged but it was a blast!)

We have four day park hoppers plus waterpark for our next vacation. I plan on taking advantage of every evening EMH to maximize our trip. I don't think we will park hop. We will just stay in one park all day and maybe leave to swim at the resort. I normally am in the parks from opening to close and can never tear myself away to go to the waterpark, check out other resorts, dtd, boardwalk etc. This trip will definitely make me slow down and enjoy our vacation. I think it will be more about the dining and relaxing. I think four days can be done. Check out the calendar to get the most out of your time at the parks! Enjoy your vacation!

As first-time visit for an 8-year-old (and your mom), 4 days sounds just about right. Check the calendar on this site to see if there will be Extra Magic Hours the first day you arrive and depending on when you arrive, you may be able to fit in time at one of the parks. (Keep in mind that a 5-day ticket isn't that much more than a 4-day ticket.)

Don't feel like you have to see/do "everything". Pick specific things and don't over-stress yourself. Instead use this website and books on Disney World to plan your trip (with your daughter and your mom) to maximize your time but also have plenty of downtime for relaxing and recharging.

Just wanted to echo this. I am going for essentially 4.5 days in a week's time (counting the bit extra time on the arriving and leaving days from arriving early and leaving late). And I am actually using 2 of the days to mostly be at Universal and will come back at night after Uni closes to end the days at Disney. But anyways... today I went through the list of attractions in the three parks I am choosing to go to (MK, DHS, EP) and grouped them into three categories: "must dos," "do if have the time," and "could care less and probably wouldn't do even if I had more time." It really helped me plan out my days as I was surprised to find that there was only say half a days worth of stuff I wanted to do in DHS. Maybe it sounds like a lot of work but it really wasn't and though I know nothing will go exactly according to plan, I think it gives me a better idea and will help me when I'm actually in the parks.

Just an example. This is my "Schedule"

Arriving day: Epcot for about 4.5ish hours at night
Full day 1: DHS in the morning, MK in the afternoon
Full day 2: Islands of Adventure, Epcot again at night (Thank you extra magic hours ;) )
Full day 3: Universal Studios
Full day 4: Magic Kingdom all day
Leaving day: DHS or Epcot depending on what I didn't or did get to do the other days in the morning for about 4ish hours

4 days isn't long enough! I think that you need a week. Anyway, on your Epcot day, Akershus breakfast at the Norway Pavilion is a must for anyone who loves Princesses! You get your picture taken with Belle, then they seat you, breakfast is brought out to you & they have a buffet of cold food & pastries, then the have all the Princesses visit your table for pictures(with your own camera) & autographs. They also have a Princess parade in which all the "little" princes & princesses parade around the restaurant with the "real" Princesses. While you are finishing up your meal they bring out your picture with Belle. My daughter loved this meal!
That sounds amazing! I bet it was fun :D

While the Disney fanatic in me says it's not enough, I find when talking to avg people that 1 park per day for a total of 4 park days is what the bulk of them set aside for time at WDW. While you're not going to be able to cover every single little thing- I think you can still have an enjoyable time with 4 days.

I really cant do WDW for more then 4 days...MAYBE 5 would be my limit.

By day 4, Im so tired of people, tired of weird foods, tired of the heat/humidity, lack of my car...my animals and my SPACE. Im so anxious to get home that last travel day. I LOVE the place, but Im pretty happy to see it go when it's time for me to leave. Obviously that bit of sadness to leave, but so excited to be home!

Someone on here took a 3 week trip and I was like....I just....I cant....LOL
