Forums - Marked Read?

I noticed that if I usually read, say, 3 or 4 forums on each visit, but only read one forum on a visit, all the forums get "reset" or marked as read. Is that correct, or is my Firefox browser doing something to me?? I had hoped that I could just read a forum here and there, then mark ALL READ in that forum and check in others later. Also, if I am reading them at work and get called away, when I return, all the messages show they I already read them. Makes it hard to jump to new posts in a thread I am following.

If you leave for a while, either closing your browser or just leaving your computer for a period, the session times out and when you return anything prior to your last visit is marked read whether it was read or not.
