Fort Wilderness.. Transport Question

Pumbas Nakasak

Heading for the great escape.
1. Is it possible and if it is how long does it take to walk from Fort Wilderness to WL.?

2. If I go to a e ride night is it better to drive?

3. How long from FW to the Polly. by car

Thanx, all above are related to PSs.

The trail from Fort Wilderness to the WL is one mile long...made for walking, biking and nature loving. An easy walk.

Take the launch to the MK for E ride night...much faster than driving and you don't have to park. The launch also stops at the WL (just in case you don't want to walk) It's not a long ride to the Poly, but I really can't give you a time span...don't pay attention to things like that ,sorry.

I think that the boat does run during E-Rides...but if it doesn't there is always the bus that goes to and from the TTC. So if you can't get on the boat you can take the monorail to the TTC and the bus back to Ft. Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge (only resorts with service to the TTC).

I would avoid parking at the Fort unless you are staying there. We did one night to go for the hayride and it was a total chore. You park very far away, then wait for a bus to b bring you to the main area. And there are a few buses, not all just doin that route, so you could wait 10-15 minutes

I find it much easier to park at the WL, and take the boat over to Fort Wilderness. Fort is like driving into Orlando airport, it's a huge complex
