Go to the pool by the Bike Barn and look for the water tower. This was the same one used at the Fort Wilderness R.R. which was later moved to the entrance of River Country.

Also, in Crockett's Tavern, look for authetnic props from the television show at the bar.

I was wondering what happened to the water tower when they put the bus depot in... Nice to know they "recycled it".

I love Fort Wilderness, it's great to stay there the weekend, rent a golf cart and just tool around for the weekend, i took my bicycle on the path to Wilderness lodge in may, and I rented a canoe and paddled the brackish waters of the place, it looked like I could have almost gone into the golf course, but didnt want to risk it.

There are remaining rails, ties and spikes from the FW Railroad in the brush just north of the canal north of Cottontail Curl, east side of the street. There are also remaining ties in the bushes west of the golf cart parking area accross the street from the settlement bus stop. Just south of the playground on the yellow bus route there is a berm that used to be the rail route.

Let us not forget the Lawnmower tree. Just before the boat dock you will find a tree that has grown around an old reel mower.
