Fort Wilderness Cabins Question

We are planning a trip in December and want to stay at the cabins in Fort Wilderness. I am wondering how far the cabins are from the boat and from the busses. Walking distance? or do we need to bring bikes?

The number of Cabins in each loop is as follows:​

2100 loop - 44 cabins; 2200 loop - 44 cabins; 2300 loop - 30 cabins; 2400 loop - 49 cabins; 2500 loop - 33 cabins; 2600 loop - 65 cabins; 2700 loop - 72 cabins; 2800 loop - 70 cabins. ​

So 2100 through 2800 loops is where they are.​

So they are the farthest from FW's internal offerings - but you ride the bus anyways to get anywhere and the buses for off property leave from the end near the cabins.​

If possible, I would bring bikes just for fun! They rent golf carts (pricey though). You may take an "inner bus loop" to where you need to go such as the pool & dining area. Of course, as explained in the links, you may request the closest cabin to the main pool complex or food area- it's a short walk to the boat dock from the food area. Love the cabins! Or, you may simply drive to where you need to go. It's a huge place!
