Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge pool questions

Hi,

I am sure the answer is no but asking anyway. If you are staying in a cabin at Fort Wilderness are you able to use the pool at the Wilderness Lodge? I think you can not but my wife thought she read you can. Also if not, the pools at the campgrounds, are they nice? Are there any slides or just plain old pools?

Thanks!

Generally the answer is No. However, with the Fort Wilderness pool going under refurbishment soon, they may suspend the rule. As of right now, the Fort Wilderness pools are just pools, big and heated. No slides or fountains any of that jazz. However after the refurb of the Meadow pool is complete that may change.

No you cannot. I have seen people escorted off property because the lifeguard saw them come off the path from the boat dock all suited up. They were asked for ID and did not have room keys for the WL.

Since the FW pool is closed they will probably allow it for now.

As others have said...the answer is no under ordinary circumstances. When the pool at FW goes down they will probably suggest you use the pool at WL however. They are doing something similar now with the Grand Floridian pool. They are sending continuous boat launches between the GF and Polynesian so GF guests can use the pool.

They do indeed enforce the "no pool hopping" rule, at least on occasion. I've also witnessed a Life Guard questioning people and asking them to leave the pool.

Spend thousands of dollars and join DVC - then you can pool-hop between DVC resorts :)

The main pool at the fort is closed. There is a smaller pool near the cabin loops, and guest at the fort(for the time being) may use the pool at WL. However, the fort pool is scheduled to reopen toward the end of March, at that point you will not be allowed to use the WL pool.

On a side note, the fort pool looks as though it will be great, so guest won't want to leave anyway! Yeah!!! I know my kids are very excited about the campground finally getting a nice pool.:sohappy:

Thanks all. That is what I thought and from what I read on allears the pool at the campgrounds is going to be open by then. My wife had just mentioned it and I wanted to make sure the wrong seeds are not planted in my daughter's head before we go. She has been talking about the WL for the past 2 years as that is the last place we stayed. We have an 18 month old now though and the cabins make more sense with the separate bedroom/living areas due to naps.

Thanks again, we are very eager to go...again.
