Former Star Wars Actor Jake Lloyd Arrested for Reckless Driving Charges

TMZ reports that Jake Lloyd, who portrayed young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace, was arrested after a car chase in Charleston, South Carolina. The chase reportedly ended after Lloyd crashed into some trees.

Lloyd was said to be driving in Charleston when Sheriff’s deputies began pursuing him. The chase went on for miles into another county. Lloyd began passing cars on the double yellow line and started to drive recklessly at high speeds. He then lost control of his car and ran off the road into a fence into a wooded area.

Lloyd (age 26) was arrested for reckless driving, failure to stop, resisting arrest and driving without a license. He is now in custody.

He probably got drunk after accidentally catching himself on a tv re-run of 'Phantom Menace'. I'd probably hit the bottle too after reminders of such god-awful acting.

Maybe the judge will go easy on him, and factor in that he was in a movie with Jar-Jar Binks, which should legally be considered time already served.
