???'s for any CM Lighting/Sound Techs, I read a news thread on the main page that WDW has installed new lighting for the Castle Stage, just woundering if anybody knew what Brand/Model was used, and maybe what console is there.
WDE uses mostly ETC fixtures. Their lighitng boards are Whole Hog and ETC Express and/or Expression. They also use High End automated fixtures and I believe they use the MotorYoke and/or some of its sister products. ETC also lists Disney as a major user of ETC equipment.
As for that specific stage, I am unsure.
PS- they also use Mackie for a lot of their sound boards.
I know you're not referring to the twinkling strobes on the actual castle, but just for the record (and for some reason I think I've checked into this, and am right on this assumption), the strobes are made by Diversitronics, and you can see a picture of the strobes here: http://www.diversitronics.com/catalog/006.html
HES Technobeams And Cyberlights are in there. The Cybers are what light the Castle in different colors at night. there all lined up along the lake.(near the draw bridge.)
34 Vari-Lite Irideons provide a CMY color wash to the Castle...this is accompanied by 12 High End Cyberlight Turbos that provide gobo projection and effects. There are no HES Technobeams on the Castle...they are only a 250w light...that wouldn't do anything...there are also various star strobes and Diversitronics strobes located throughout the Castle.
Stage lighting is provided by 32 modified Martin Exterior 600s for front light, and 64 Par64 cans for sidelight, 24 of which have Wybron CXI Mariner CMY scrollers on the front.
