Forbidden Mountain

Okay I talked about this in the other forbidden mountain post. Maleficent lived at the forbidden mountain. Animal Kingdom dosn't have ANY mythological creatures yet. Dragons would be perfect! After all there is a dragon on signs for AK. Maleficent turns into a dragon. This could be a great ride if they did that theme! They have every other kind of animal pretty much put in something from the imagination. (I mean it is WALT DISNEY WORLD after all.)

From everything I hear, it will nave no connection to THAT Forbidden Mountain. This one will only feature the Yeti.

Forbidden Mountain Will be rising up in Animal Kingdom, Im not sure what the ride layout will be exactly, I was told of the blueprints for the retail shop for the ride , so you have to know that it will be built.

Yes, the yeti. Known for it's great... Yeti-ness. such an amazing creature it can do...? i don't get why a yeti is featured unless it's for some snowy mountain like the matterhorn, but then again, isn't it going to be featured in Asia? why a matterhorn there? maybe i'm just tired or confused

Because not only is the Yeti a Tibetan mythological creature (an Asian version of our abominable snowman / sasquatch / big foot)...... but since the Yeti is Asian based (in Tibet) it is much better suited in Asia, then in Fantasyland (like in DL).... From what i hear, it won't exactly be Matterhorn 2000...... it may not even be a coaster, but it WILL be a thrill ride for sure......... And of course it will fit into Asia.... ever heard of the Himalayas?

man, a dragon ride could be so much better than a Yeti ride. besides Disneyland already has a Yeti ride. don't get me wrong, the Matterhorn is an awesome ride, but something new would be cool.

You are not thinking fourth-dimensionally. What Disney doesn't need right now is Universal to say they stole/copied a coaster/thrill ride about dragons and mythological animals.

Alberrisford and Mirage thank you. This should not be for the Yeti. I think the Yeti should be put in AK. But I don't think they should call it Forbidden Mountain or Matterhorn anything. They should call it Himalaya's or something of that theme. Go dragons!

Ok, now I get it, but I still don't see it as a big thrill.

The thrill is guessing what merchandise will be available at the end of the ride and if you will look a complete dobber in the on ride photo.
