This might be the wrong thread to post. But this topic is dierected is to current or former cast members including the ones who did the Disney College Program. What is your favorite memory working at Walt Disney Works. It can be either be behind the scenes or a favorite guests experience or any fond memory of WDW. I don't know if former CMs are allowed to post info online. But this is a special topic since some of the Cast Members really love working there or even miss being there.

I was a CP CM in 95 at Pecos Bills. The job itself kinda sucked (amongst other theme park jobs), so I can't really put my finger on an on the job-related memory. But I would have to say the best part for me was just being part of the Disney machine (in a good way). I loved coming to work at the Magic Kingdom of all places?!?! I loved getting there early for my shift and walking Main St or riding some attractions. I loved being 'backstage' knowing that it was a place that very few people could go and many Disney guests (ok, maybe just a lot of...) wondered what went on back there.

Well, I never worked at WDW, but I worked for 4 months at DLP in 2001. I loved it, I worked at the Chistmas shop inside Sleeping Beauty's Castle, and being a Sleeping Beauty fan, I felt very lucky. My favorite memory is walking out of the park after closing, while the lights and the music were still on, chatting and laughing with my colleagues. I felt "part" of the magic, having access to something not a lot of people got to see!

I was a recreational CM during my CP in 2014 and then worked at Animal Kingdom as a conservation education instructor (Helped to launch Backstage Tales and taught all the YES Programs at DAK). I have two favorite memories, one from each location I worked in. During the Holidays last year, I was working at the Yacht and Beach Club. My job overall wasn't fun. I would scan magic bands outside the pool, or work the marina most days. Every once in awhile though, you would get a shift at top ship which is the top of the water slide. The shift would be from 4pm-11pm most nights and all you had to do was tell people when to go down the water slide. Pretty simple stuff. What I liked about this job was at at 9pm you could see illuminations as well as wishes. It was like a two for one fireworks deal. Well on Christmas Day, early in my shift I met a family who had a young daughter probably around 4. As we started talking The parents told me they haven't been able to sit through an entire firework show because their daughter was afraid of the sound. I told them to come back up to the water slide later in the night when the fireworks were happening. They came back up and it was great to see them all enjoy the fireworks that they otherwise might have missed.

At DAK my favorite park of the job was doing YES Programs. I loved meeting kids all around the world and sharing my passion for teaching and animals with them.I remember a particular group of 5th graders very well from Venezuela. They were such troopers. 90% of their program was down pouring rain and not one child complained. They were so excited to be in WDW and wanted to hear everything I had to say. After their program was done we said our goodbyes and they left to have more Disney fun and I went to clock out of my shift. The same afternoon I ran into them at Magic Kingdom! All of a sudden I heard a bunch of children yelling my name. It was a great and funny moment.

I have so many amazing memories from my college program that it's hard for me to even choose. I worked merchandise in future world and one of my locations was stroller/ecv rental. Part of our job in that location was to take working ECVs to guests who's ECVs had broken down out and about in the park and bring the broken one back to stroller rental. I sincerely miss riding an ECV around Epcot. Another part of our job was hunting for abandoned wheelchairs/ECVs/strollers throughout future world at the end of the night once the park had closed. Walking around deserted Epcot while the music is still on and Spaceship Earth is still glowing and the Fountain of Nations is still going off is something I miss every day. :)

I was a custodian at the Magic Kingdom over a decade ago. I was assigned to Liberty Square and the original Fantasyland (before the expansion) and sometimes I would have to pull trash duty after Wishes. Doesn't sound very magical, but I remember, one night, I was pushing the trash cart past Peter Pan when I stopped and looked around. I was the only one in Fantasyland. No guests, no other cast members; only the song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" (and not the one with Timon and Pumbaa) playing softly in the background. The attraction lights were still on and everything seemed to glow. I was completely alone, and engulfed in the beauty of the moment. I must have stood there for the entire song, wishing I could bottle that feeling. I never could replicate that moment after my CP ended, but it is one of my fondest memories.

Awesome...those are moments you need to just stop and soak in b/c you can't recreate them.
