So I know there's some fellow brits on here...and maybe, who knows, some yanks who like proper football, but who will call it soccer or something silly.

So if you are a fan of a team, how is your's doing as the season comes to a close (at least in Europe)? Or alternatively if your season is over how did they do?

Myself, I'm ecstatic right now as Leicester City have just snatched a play-off place right at the death against Forest. It's made all the sweeter as we ended their season in the process with a first win at their ground in 41 years.

How about you? Are you being promoted/in the play-offs/champions/qualifying for the champions league/Europa League/Won a cup/relegated, etc? Do you like your manager? Does the future look bright?

Or do you just take a passing interest in the game?

I'm one of those rare Yanks who appreciates real football - have been following Liverpool FC since 2004 (which was when we finally started getting televised coverage of matches here). Obviously a bit disappointed with how the last few seasons have played out, but happy with the current owners so far, and this season is about what I expected. Fighting it out for 6th/7th place with the blues is not where LFC should be, but sadly about right for the current state of the club. Happy with the manager so far, and still hopeful we'll see some progress next year...

My dad is a lifelong Leicester fan - so like you is very happy with the play-off.

I'm a Man Utd supporter, so a pretty good season for us.
