I will be at disney world for 5 days in April. We have tried a lot of restaurants in Disney and have been disappointed with most of them based on the quality of food for the price you pay. We are sticking with our favorites still; Pecos Bills, ESPN Club, and Beaches and Cream. I think we will also try the House of Blues and Morocco. I was wondering if there were any other good restaurants outside of Disney World.

Down by the DisneyWorld exit by Downtown Disney, theres's strip with many good restaurants. My personal favorite is Chili's, but there's a dozen restaurants out there that I'm sure are good but they are mostly chains. IHOP is also good!:slurp:

Try Restaurant Marrakesh...the food is really good and you get a lot of bang for your buck. If you like Morrocan food this is a must! A lot of food is served amongst a beautiful atmosphere. The waiters are also very helpful and nice.

If you want a lot of food, The Clam Bake at Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club in my opinion is the best buffet on property.

Nothing in Walt Disney World is cheap--food is no exception. However, I think that that they do a pretty darn good job. The portions are usually gigantic and theming is unmatched. I have been to a lot of restaurants in WDW and have only been disappointed by the restaurants not owned by Disney (i.e. Fultons).

Hope this helps and enjoy your trip in april.:)

I'll second Marrakesh & Cape May. We did these both for the first time this past August & will definately be going back.
Love the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness for the skillet breakfast, & Ohana for dinner. :slurp:

I can't personally recomend House of Blues...

Loved it the first time, but the last visit was not so good.... :(

That was a couple years back though, so perhaps it's improved - ya think? :)

I've never had the opportunity to enjoy the Clam Bake, but I've always heard great things - you probably should take imagineer99's word on that one!

Good luck, Good Eats, and have an amazing journey to the World!

Look these up, they're all off-property:

Bubbalou's Bodacious BBQ- don't let the name throw you off, the food is true.

Cafe Tu Tu Tango- On I-Drive, this is a tapas style restaurant. The theme is art, and the walls are covered with paintings that were done while in the restaurant.

Bahama Breeze- Used to be only on I-drive but they added one to right outside Disney property near I-4.

Ichiban- A Japanese favorite of mine. There are a ton of "Japanese steak houses" which are anything but representative of Japanese Cuisine as a whole. This is one of the better traditional Japanese restaurants in that area.

off property...

-Charleys Steak House: Best steak house in Orlando bar none. Better than Le Cellier and Yachtsman....

-Seasons 52: I can't even begin to describe how good this casual gem in suburban Orlando is. Ask Main Street USA, Plutis, Angelique, or Alee4Eva about it. The desserts are to die for...

-American Pie Pizza: The only worthwhile NY Style pizza place in Orlando. It's on I-Drive... so traffic is an issue
