Food from outside the parks

I have a strange question. A co-worker of my wifes was at WDW at Christmas, and said that they were not allowing guest to bring food like sandwiches or snacks into the parks. This was certainly not the case the last time we were there and I was wondering if anyone knew if this was indeed a policy?:(

I was there the Monday before Christmas, and I had a backpack full of sandwiches, chips, cookies, etc. The security guard at the entrance to the MK commented that he couldn't blame me for trying to save the money. I had no problems at all.

I bring in a sandwich or two every weekend and have had no comments whatsoever, not so much as a blink. The policy is safely the same as ever :)

No, no change at all. Maybe someone was having a bad day before or after the bag check. Like everyone else, we bring at the minimum snacks and waters, and at the maximum full meals into the park each day of our trip....:)

That'd be torture if they forced people to eat the garbage they sell or have to go off property to get something decent or to get turned down at any decent restaurant on property.

You can not bring in glass bottles except for baby food jars and you can't bring in any alcohol but besides that, outside food is never an issue.

I remember right after 9/11, there being a problem with bringing bottles in to the parks. They made me throw out 4 water bottles but I was able to keep my daughter's juice boxes (because they were sealed).
But I haven't had any problems with bringing stuff in over the last 5 years.

In your case, guess someone was having a bad day. :(

I remember a guest walking in front of me who had a bag full of Subway sandwiches and the security person said I sure you brought enough for the whole park. And he let them go through.
