Food Discount Question

Wo are recent annual pass holders and it's been 20 years since we have been to Disney World. I have a question regarding the discounts provided to pass holders. Are any discounts available at the various food kiosks throughout the parks, or are they just available in the main restaurants? Do we have to ask for the discounts, or just show our Magic Bands? How does that work?

And, we have heard that there other ways to carry the gizmo on our magic bands, like necklaces of fobs or something other than bracelets.

Keep an eye out for some of the outside stands, ones that are a bit more "official" with merchandise. Most of those will take AP discount even if it's for a bottle of coke. Doesn't sound like much, but a discount is a discount.

Your discount card will get you everything you need. If you don't have one, pick one up at guest services.

Most of the food discounts are at TS locations only. I think @larryz provided the link to the current discount description on the WDW site. You will usually need your AP discount card, but some CMs will take a screenshot of your AP or the ticket info in your MDE account. And as @disneygeek90 said, you can get a merch discount on a bottle of soda if you buy it in a store, but buying it from a cart won't provide that same discount.

RE the Magic Band, the new version does have a removable puck in the middle. You can take it out and carry it however you wish, Disney sells some lanyard type things you can put it in instead, but I suppose you could just stick it in your pocket if you wanted.

Disneygeek90, you mentioned a discount card. Is that the same as the main entrance card? Thanks
