Hello All, Could someone please tell me what time the food courts open up in the morning for breakfast? I am planning to get breakfast a few mornings early and go to the parks for EMH's.
Thanks for your help!! Also @Master

I want to say that when I was there it was open by 7am, but I looked it up quick and one source said hours are seasonal. I know you didn't ask about the Polynesian but I have been in their quick service, Captain Cook's, at 6:30am and that was in November so maybe some places have different hours.

While the beignettes are sublime...sugary snacks do not make a dining experience. I would personally chose Pepper Market or any of the other venues at CSR over POFQ's dining possibilities.

When it comes to dinner I would agree 100%. The selections and the quality at the Pepper Market during lunch/dinner service are probably among the best of any food court on property. However, when it comes to breakfast there is not much to justify the price spike. If breakfast is my only meal at a food court and I am not on hte DDP, the Pepper Market would be my last choice.

Thanks LucyK. I am asuming that Sassagoula is the food court @ POFQ. I will be go to The World from Jan. 4th-Jan. 12th, so I would guess that they would open @ 6AM. At that early hr are they serving hot items or is it just cold, like fruit, cereal, muffins etc? Thanks again. Also are taxi's always available? I was thinking about hanging out at AKL (Victoria Falls) a night and would need to get back over to POFQ. One last thing, how is the bus service, and do they still share service with PORS or most of the time have there own dedicated bus. I am going during a slower time, so I thought they may share because of that. Thanks LucyK for answering all my questios, as you seem really familiar with POFQ!!!!!!

I only stayed at POFQ once, 10 days this past February, but that resort grabbed me by the heart and it won't let go! It feels like a second home and I try to always be in the know about it and for that I go to www.portorleans.org religiously, it's the unofficial resort website and it's shockfull of good and up-to-date information.

From what I remember all food stations would open at 6AM and even at slow times the food court does get a lot of traffic that early in the morning, so problems getting your bounty platter or some beignets.

Bus service is quite good at POFQ. It does share buses with POR sometimes; MK has a dedicated bus the whole day, EPCOT, DHS and DTD/water parks are shared during non-peak times and AK buses go to POR no matter the time of the day. On the good side, POFQ is always picked up and dropped off first which means you're almost always guaranteed a seat. I do recommend a taxi for any breakfast ADRs at AK or non-monorail resort, otherwise you're looking to at least a 90 minute commute between transit and waiting, just save yourself some time and get a taxi, they are available just outside the main entrance, to your left. They have a special Mickey shaped glove they use to call the awaiting taxis, I don't know if the other resorts do that but I find if very cute!

About AKL-POFQ commute, I believe you'd have to go to the closest park to get a bus to the resort, since they don't have resort-resort buses. Don't quote me on that because I'm really not sure and I always used a taxi to get to another resort.

I, too, love POFQ. I would like to add. Between 6 and 6:30 is some of my favorite time at the resort. It is so peaceful. Most who are up are carrying mugs in search of coffee. Personally, I would not travel around for breakfast except for a character meal. Breakfast is pretty much the same anywhere you go.

Sassagoula has a lot of hot and cold items available from 6 am on. Biscuits and gravy are very good and my DS swears by the croissant sandwiches.
