There's really no thunderstorms in March/April. The days are mostly nice, though March weather is a little bit more dreary then April. Also, that time of year is when Easter is, and let me say this, crowds are terrible during easter.

You might run into some thunderstorms that early in the season, but probably not too many. If anything, it will rain all day or not rain. It's not hot and humid enough for the thunderstorms to kick in... But remember, they'll pop up anytime!

March is one of those months that can be anything. It can be 85 one day and then 60 the next. It's very random. And while you won't get the short every-day summer showers in March the way you do in June-September, if it does rain, it's more likely to rain all day.

Thing is though, it has the potential to rain anywhere at pretty much anytime. So you can't really book a trip without there being some chance of rain.

You'd need to really pay attention to the forecast before you'd leave though because it could be wildly different back-to-back days and you'd need to pack a range of clothes accordingly.

I was there the middle of April this year, after Easter, and as a person who goes in August and at Christmas/New years due to kid school breaks, the middle of April was awesome. Perfect weather, no rain.

I understand that maybe that might not be how it always is, I mean, two years ago at Christmas it was in the 80's and sunny. Last year, cold and rainy. I do know tho, that in April, around the 13th, humidty was low.

During those months the main thing to look out for are the cold fronts coming from the north, which usually bring in the rains and then the cold. But those are dry months. The big rains start very late April early May and then it gets nasty through June. I would say the worse t-storm periods are July through early Sept. (mainly in the afternoon, and they come without warning)....Lightning and thunder can be pretty spectacular...thunder very LOUD. :D

Why do you ask? :veryconfu

Well have I got a story for you. Myself, my mom, a friend of my mom's and her daughter were in WDW for the annual passholder preview of M:S in late July/early August 2003. We decided to resort hop over to AK Lodge to check it out. Well, it began to rain, and rain hard. We decided to sit outside under the awning and relax. My mom's friend told me that she would pay me $20 to run across the driveway and back, which was about a good 50 feet. My mom came outside to see what we were doing, and before she could finish saying "What are you goofs doing out..." just as I was going to leap from the curb, a HUGE bolt of lightning struck on the other side of the driveway. I was never so close to lightning before in my life. It made our ears ring and the hair on the back of our necks stand on end. We ran inside and a manager rushed outside to make sure everyone was OK. We were stuck at the Lodge for 3 hours that day because of the bad storms. We sat by the fireplace and talked with a few of the castmembers. It was kind of nice!

Now, I am terrified of lighting.

I was there late March early April and the weather was beautiful!! When we first arrived it was cloudy, we pre registered at the resort and by the time we hopped on the bus for the MK it was sunshine all the way we had rain only once during our trip and it was at night after we had already gotten into our rooms...
