Florida Resident Ticket Purchase

Is it possible for me to purchase tickets for my granddaughter and her family who are Florida Residents on line and get the Florida Discount for them. I would be putting this on my credit card and do not live in Florida. I will be meeting them for one day and wanted to treat them to a day at the Magic Kingdom.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Though I don't know for certain, (having never tried it) you should be able to buy them online as you will receive vouchers which you turn in at the park for the actual tickets. You can give them the vouchers and they will need to personally go to the ticket booth and show proof of Florida residency for each ticket (And each person getting a ticket will need to be present and have valid ID.)

Another alternative is if you are coming here, you can go with them to the ticket window and simply pay for their tickets right then and there.

A third alternative is you can sometimes buy Florida resident vouchers at other locations. For example, I know that Publix Supermarkets (which are everywhere here in Florida) sell FL res vouchers. Same as above, the vouchers would then get traded in at the park for the actual tickets.

Of course, if you want a ticket personally, it would not be at the FL resident rate.

I've kind of been wondering this myself. I was thinking of suprising the G/F with premium annuals next year for her birthday. (We still have never been to either water park)!

Thanks for replies. I already have my tickets. Decided yesterday I would like to treat them to a day in the park. I leave in 19 days and would like to save a few $$ by getting the discount. I tried on line and it wouldn't pass thru because of the billing address not being Florida. Granddaughter spoke to someone in ticketing and they said to enter their names and addresses but there was no place to put that info. She is going to call again today. I did not know about buying the vouchers at Publix. Will tell her to check it out. When she called she was told there is no discount if bought at the gate. Oh well, if it doesn't work i'll pay full price and enjoy the day with my family.

Hrm, yeah that was the only thing I was afraid of. It does confirm that you get vouchers and not actual tickets on the website but I guess they don't have the set-up done in a way to have one person pay but another person receive?

Florida Residents can save year round on Theme Park Tickets and more! Florida Residents are eligible for savings on the exclusive passes like the 3-Day Play Pass which allows you to visit one Theme Park of your choice for each day of your Pass for $138 plus tax. Good for 6-months with no block-out dates.

When you order Florida Resident tickets, you will receive an exchange certificate in the mail. Redeem the exchange certificate at any Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket window by presenting the exchange certificate and valid photo ID.

Tickets are non-transferable, are only valid during regularly scheduled operating hours and exclude activities/events priced separately. No additional discounts apply. Proof of Florida residency for each adult required.

I've seen them before - even things like MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets though of course, what options they offer I don't know. But it might be worth it to have her check just in case.

Yeah, one days are not discounted in person:
*1-Day tickets purchased at the gate will NOT include Pre-arrival savings and will be sold at the gate price

Hopefully you can get it to work out some how, but either way, enjoy the day with your family! :D

OK they are ordered. Called Diney Reort Ticketing 407 566 4985 and asked to purchase FLA resident tix. No problem - gave name, address and phone #. Put on my CC and voucher (for an added $5.00 charge) will be sent to granddaughter. I felt safer having the voucher in hand when going to ticket window.

Not exactly sure why the gentleman didn't give us this information yesterday. No harm, no fowl and all is good. 20 days and counting
