Hello, I am new here and have a question. I am in Florida with a friend of mine who goes to the University of Miami, and is able to ge the Florida resident discounted tickets. Would he be able to buy 2 tickets with this discount and give one to me? I am not a resident, hence I am not able to get the discount... so would be able to buy both our tickets? Do they id you to make sure at any point after the purchase of the tickets?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also just wanted to say that I have been a long time lurker and love the community here! Thanks

If he can only buy one at a time, why doesn't he just go through the line twice?

(Before you start flaming me, I'm just trying to help a fellow Hurricane out -- I'm in law school at UM)

Officially, anyone can purchase Florida Resident discounted tickets.

All Florida Resident tickets, including Magic Your Way Tickets and Florida Resident Seasonal, Annual and Premium Annual Passes, require valid proof of Florida Residency PER ADULT at the time of Exchange Certificate redemption.

Valid Proof of Florida Residency is...

1)VALID Florida State Drivers License

2)VALID Florida State issued ID card with Florida address

3)VALID Florida Voters Registration Card with corresponding photo ID

4)VALID Florida Based Military ID - List of Florida Military Bases

5)VALID Florida College/University ID

Each adult in the party is required to have a Florida ID.

Florida Resident tickets are only available to actual Florida Residents and can not be purchased for out of state family or friends.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

The only thing I can reference is the fact that when *Disneyland* is running Southern California Resident special ticket offers, they allow each Southern CA resident to buy up to 4 tickets at a time, and not all users of those tickets need to be So Cal residents. I had looked this up recently for a friend who was visiting family in Palm Springs and was thinking about a trip to Disneyland. Of course, this is only for the So Cal ticket offers, and not any discounts on APs.

Perhaps WDW has a similar policy for Florida Resident non-AP purchases?

No, unfortunately, WDW doesn't. Only Florida Residents with proof of residency can redeem a FL discounted ticket. All adults who appear to be of driving age or older will be checked.

I can vouch for this. I have been required to produce ID every time I have purchased or renewed any FL resident ticket or AP. The price difference for a Fl resident 1 day pass is only about $3 off the gate price so it is hardly worth trying to get around.

Yea I don't think it is going to work and do not want to chance anything. I guess I'll just have to buya regular ticket. The only reason I was wondering is because a park hopper ticker is lik $103 normally and $63 for florida residents.
