Has anyone visited this attraction recently? I never really knew about it until I was checking out the yesterland article on it. It's right on our way to WDW, so I think we're going to check it out in September. The views are pretty cool and $20 for four of us isn't too bad I suppose.

Back when there were tons of citrus groves in the area, it used to be quite popular. We watched a shuttle launch from up there once many years ago. That whole little area is like stepping back in time, but it has become quite built up around there. Don't go with any high expectations and you won't be disappointed.

Is it worth the $20 it will cost us? I mainly just want to check out the views and hopefully see WDW in the horizon. The Yesterland article made it seem cool.

You'll be able to pick out Disney on the horizon, and you can clearly pick out various landmarks there. You'll get a pretty good understanding why it's called Lake County there. It's an OK thing to do, especially on a clear day. If you look to the Northwest from there, you should see the vineyards for the Lakeridge Winery, and to the Southwest you'll see quite a few large lakes. Ithink they had binocular-type things if I recall, but that may have been just for the launch.

Well, I guess we'll see what kind of weather is going on during the trip and maybe stop and check it out.

I like little side of the road stuff like this. It reminds me of the road trip I took with my grandparents when I was 12. Not only did we go to the Grand Canyon, Painted Desert, Petrified Forest, and Carlsbad Caverns, but we also saw a ton of sideshow stuff.

I love it too. At one time in my life, I lived on Route 66 in Flagstaff. It was neat to explore some of the "roadside attractions" out there - just kind of stepping back in time.

My grandmother on my dad's side lived in some HUGE senior mobile home community near Flagstaff. I remember my mother and I being chased by coyotes when we were walking our dog one night. Lol, horrible experience.

I lived across the street from a field of prairie dogs who used to "bark" at me every time I'd go walking into town. Good times!
