Flik's Fun Fair

Click this link for information.

It is a mini-land inside the A Bug's Land area of Disney's California Adventure in Anahiem. It features an interactive water play area, and a few carnival-style attractions. Adjacent to it is the It's Tough To Be A Bug! 3D attraction.

I wouldn't mind a version at Animal Kingdom, that place needs all the help it can get.

Thanks.

It looks pretty good.

But, for some reason it seems similar ( to me at least ) to Chester and Hector ( whatever it's called ) near Dinosaur.

PS Did they change the name from Countdown to Extinction to Dinosaur because of the movie ?

It does remind me of Chester and Hester's, but it isn't really like it at all. Chester and Hester's is just plain bad.

And yes, they sadly changed the name to Dinosaur because of the movie. :(

Dino Rama and Fun Fair have nothing in Common. Flik's Fun Fair is a kiddie land. It is there for the sole purpose of entertaining little kids. Dino Rama definately isn't. Sure there is Triceratop Spin, but Primeval Whirl is the big grab for the area. Also, Fun Fair is actually themed very well. It may not fit in great with the park (but then again nothing seems to fit well at DCA), but the theming of the area does make you feel as if you are the size of an ant (think Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground but with rides).

It's an expansion on the old Bountiful Valley Farm, which did fit into California Adventure quite well. The theme of the entrance to "a bug's land" still deals with farming, so that is how it fits in. California Adventure's theme now attempts to be a Disney spin on Californian culture, which "a bug's land" is. While the rides are nothing spectacular for anyone over age 5, they are nice looking rides that are very well-themed in a very well-themed land.

I know the name was changed for this, but wasn't the attraction initially planned with the movie in mind, as well? Or was it vice-versa?

FFF is very very well themed. The rides are short and sweet and the whole area is pretty neat. There are huge clovers overhead and back ground noises. There is one four leaf clover. Benches are made to look like popsicle sticks. My favorite ride is Heimlich's Chew Chew Train with its great smells of watermelon and animal crackers.
