I am Glad they are putting in this new area
I have 3 nieces and two nephews and there really isnt much for them at DCA:)
When I took my neice and Nephew to the Preview Opening
they say the It`s tough to be a Bug and were Scared..
So Im hoping this will want them to come back:)
They love Camp Snoopy at Knotts.
Need to change that LOL

This idea is ok, but they're just buying some off-the-shelf carnival ride, changing the shells, and putting them in. I think imagineering should get to do something totally ingenious for the whole family's enjoyment, b/c these rides cannot hold adults.

While I do think the idea of more attractions geard to children is a good one, the idea itself just does not seem to me to have any creativity.

A bumper car, and a kid choo choo train? Please, we get this at Camp Snoopy at Knott's Berry Farm, or Bugs Bunny World at Magic Mountain. For everybody who argues how wonderfully themed this area will be, I will gladly direct them to these other amusement park kid lands, and help you see the wonderful themeing of a land built around the Peanuts charecters, or Warner Brothers charecters.

I've heard that adults will be able to ride, and that is a good thing alone, but still the rides are geard torwards kids. It will not be the same thing as an adult riding Snow White's Scary Adventure, or It's A Small World with their children.

I've loved DCA from the start, but ever since 2/8/01 it just seems to me they have made mistake after mistake trying to fix the park, and most the problem is thet they have abandoned the very theme that made the park such a neat idea to start with.

Let's see since 2/8 they have added the old Main Street Electrical Parade back (umm we used to get that at Disneyland for one admission, now we pay a seperate admission) they added a WDW duplicate attraction in Hollywood, Millionare (umm the show is actually filmed in New York, nothing to do with Hollywood), and now the next change is the Fair. Not a WDW duplicate at least, but imaginary bugs may have a Disney theme, but certainly they do not have a California theme. Lumin-aria was a neat idea, but it should have been done after the holidays (or at least not themed to the holidays) so it could continue. Blast replaced the horrible Steps In Time at the Hyperian, but still the show does not utilize the entire theater properly, hopefully the new show coming will.

Alone the fair may be an ok idea, but they already have so many carnival rides, in an area where they are apprpriate, Paradise Pier. (They just forgot that kids like to ride at a carnval to, so now we get the Fair) It may be better then nothing but it is not going to fix DCA's problems. I can hear the comments now louder then ever that DCA is nothing but off the shelf carnival rides. Adiing 3 more will only add more fuel to that arguement.

Of course I will visit and see if my assumptions are incorrect.

It's definately going to help DCA out. As of now there isn't much going on for the small kids. I think it will help boost it a little. It's scheduled for October.:)

OK HERE WE GO

FFF,
yes it will feature simple rides but they have ben themed mutch better then I thought they would be. It will have its cast preview in late September befor it is open to the public in October so the person going in DEC. will have no problem. Wether you be an adult or a child these attraction are customised so children of all ages can ride. The themeing of this land is EXTENSIVE and to compare to Camp Snoopy is an insult. I think everyone will be plesently supprised by this new land wether it be its "look and theming" or its "rides" ........Ok I will go with look and theming :)

It should be allot of fun!!!:sohappy:
