FLCastmembers March 11th WDW update!

Ok, well it has been a really long time but for those who remember, I did this weekly. The last one was back in June, but I am going to try to get back to doing them every week. So here we go....

The following attractions at Epcot will close early on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 due to a special event:

Universe of Energy: Last show at 6pm
Test Track: Close at 7pm
Mission: SPACE: Close at 7pm

Exxon TigerMarts Transition to Hess Express

The Exxon TigerMart Gas Station locations on Disney property will be transitioning to Hess Express locations as follows:

Magic Kingdom location: Opened March 8, 2004 as Hess Express
BoardWalk location: Reopens March 15, 2004 as Hess Express
Pleasure Island location: Closes March 10 at 6am and reopens March 30, 2004 as Hess Express

Epcot

Wonders of Life pavilion is still operating on a seasonal basis. No word yet on reopening for spring break/easter.

Magic Kingdom Park

Timekeeper reopens on March 14th, 10am to 9pm. Daily.
Snow White's Scary Adventures will be closed for refurbishment Monday, April 19 through Friday, May 21 reopening Saturday, May 22, 2004.
Small World....sometime in June for approx. 10 months.
Aladin....Sometime this spring for approx 1 month.

Backlot Tour will be closed for refurbishment Sunday, January 4 through Thursday, April 1 reopening on Friday, April 2, 2004.

The east pool is closed for refurbishment from 2/9/04 through 4/2/04.


MINOR THINGS.....

Splash mnt repaining contines for a few more weeks, although it is operating park open to close. The Splash effects will be on or off periodically throughout the painting. The Crane is still being used during park hours, and scafoldning is visible near the second lift (B lift), to work on the roof.

GOOD NEWS....the hoping brer rabbit effect is working again!!
but no leaping water yet. Also the tare in the sky at the riverboat sceen have been finally repared.

TSI news.....Aunt Polies to reopen on the 14th. Also TSI closing has been pashed back to 6pm (from 5pm), to reflect the later sunsets.

The hat shop in between FronteirLand and Liberty Sq. has been converted into a pin trading location. Early indications are the sales are up big time over what the hat shop made.

Goofy's Jamboree contines to draw large crowds BUT with only 6 shows x 300 guests, that is still a low 5 of the total park. I think it is a great show as far as kids go, but the show is no where near what the older shows had for Adult appeal.

IMHO, this show will not last long....what do you all think?

Haunted Mansion....the merch cart will be returning next week after a long rehab, the merch was temp moved into the yankee trader. no word on what will become of that shop.

IASW rehab....rumor has it the entrance/exit will be swithed to alievate the bottle neck of strollers inbetween Pan and IASW.
They are looking at cuting away the part of the hill infront of the old skyway building to increase the area to park the strollers.
This area is by far the largest bottleneck in the park.

20K.

THIS LAGOON WILL BE FILLED IN. SOON. I am 100% confident that this will happen. BUT I am not expecting anything in this area till 06/07.

Indy Speedway FastPass?? Look for this late 04 or sometime in 2005.

Aladin.....rehab is coming soon, Dumbo as well. Just an update of ride control hardware, to enhance safety.

What happen to them??? Still none scheduled. Last one was last Summer before BTM Closed. I hear that they will be coming back soon, and they will be looking at a replacement for AE. Ideas?? well PotC is the one that they have used in the past, but what about Philharmagic? who knows but i guess we will find out soon.

Ok thats all I can think of for now.....more updates to come....

I feel sorry for you. I can't imagine what it must be like not to have a life. I hope you are having fun coming on here and stepping on the hopes, dreams, and enjoyment of others.

Disney is such a happy place full of fantasy and love. How sad to come here and find such negative people who take pleasure in knocking others down.

You know that people who put others down only do so to make themselves feel more important. But I can guarantee you that it only works in your narrow, little minds.

....Ciao all....back to other forums where people are not hateful, but instead are full of support and pixie dust.

The Indy speedway FP will be welcomed by our family. Our kids love this attraction, but I refuse to stand in line for more than 25 minutes for this ride. This will help speed things up.

When they fill in 20k area, it will be very odd to see a wall up instead of looking at the empty lagoon. A much needed area to finally utilize better. A three year wait seems like a long time though.
