Fitness center/gym for non-Disney hotel guests?

I really don't know much about policies in the California Disney hotels, so I thought I'd ask.

I know that at most (if not all) of the Disney hotel fitness centers in Florida you can pay for a one-day use of the facilities if you're not staying in that hotel. Does the fitness center at the Grand Californian have a similar policy?

Alternatively, is there a gym that has pay-per-day use within walking distance?

A co-worker is attending a conference at the Anaheim Convention Center, and she's staying at a hotel on Harbor Blvd across from the entrance plaza (Park Vue Inn). Her hotel doesn't have any fitness facilities, but she was hoping to at least get access to a gym for a few days while she's out there.

Any suggestions? Thanks!

Not sure about the Disney hotels but theres a 24 Hour Fitness thats opening on June 27 (this Fri.) at the Anaheim Garden Walk. Its just a walk down Harbor Bvld. and is on Disney Way. and Clementine St.

Thanks! That'll probably be just what she's looking for.

BTW, I called the Grand Californian, and the front desk said that their fitness center is for hotel guests only. So no pay-per-day option there.
