First Xmas visit - suggestions please

G’day all,

Long time visitor to Disney parks all over the world, but this will be our first visit to one during the ‘Christmas period’ - we will be visiting for 5 days from the 7th of December onwards. I’ve been doing my research and I think I have a handle on most things, but I keen to hear your favourite things which are only available during this period. The kids ages are 10 & 7.

Warning, one thing not on the website's schedule, and that is the "private" event called Candlelight on the 7th and 8th.

While it closes the Main Street Train Station (The other stations remain open), the train still operates except for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday. Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln is also closed.

But it basically blocks the front half of Main Street due to the reserved seating they place in front of the stage that takes over the Train Station.

The best thing to do is avoid the Main Street area, especially between 4 and 10 PM. Do other things, and then watch the parade and fireworks during the week.

As it turns out I am also likely to be at the park over the weekend. This will be my first visit to Galaxy's Edge and I wonder if any of you might share your drink recommendations for the cantina. I tend to favor the whiskey and rum side of the spectrum.
