I am a AP for Disney World and I live in NYC, but I am going to HK on business and thought I'd check out HKDL. However, the website provides little information. Are there any parades? Fireworks? entertainment? Going through the website, there really isn't anything grabbing my interest, for instance Tarzans tree house, and the Tiki water squirter (huh?)

What is it that I should be looking forward to??]

thanks for all the help!!!

Yes there are parades. During rehersal days its been on at 1pm and 3:30pm. Disney on Stars is the firewarks usually on around 8pm (9pm if they open til 10pm). One word warning be prepared for lineups in every single attraction, given there is a lack of. People will be lining up on every single attraction in HKDL. Be aware of the show times for Storybook Theater and lineup early if you want to see the Golden Mickeys. Festival of the Lion King is very different from the show in Animal Kingdom in Orlando. The only similarities is the name. These 2 shows will kill about 1/2 day right there. Other attractions you want to check out is the Jungle River Cruise, Mickey Philharmagic, Space Mountain, Buzz Lightyear and the Disneyland Railroad. I assume we'll be seeing more attractions announced given that Phase 1 is a done deal. I've recently heard in the news that Phase 2 development is in discussion with Disney and the HKSAR government.

When are you planning to go? My cousins in Hong Kong want to go in mid-October and they could not get tickets because they are supposedly Sold Out for at least the first three months.

Hey there,

first off, thank you so much for the information. You actually got me excited again to be going!!!! I didn't know that there was a parade, fireworks, and a new Festival of the Lion King. I seen the AK one so many times.

As for my tickets, I had to buy them for the exact day that I was going. I am going October 26th. I bought the ticket through the website. It is ONLY valid for the 26th. When i arrive at the park, I need my confirmation number and the credit card i used. Supposedly there is a machine to rectrieve the tickets.

Is the Lion King show the same as at Disneyland Paris? Thanks :)

No comment on that since I haven't been to the Paris park. Is there that attraction in Paris Disneyland? Checking in the website I don't see it.
