First time to DLP

I am 17 years old and will be going to Disneyland Paris for the first time in August. I will be going with three of my friends (all around my age).

I have been to Walt Disney World 7 times but never Disneyland Paris.

We will be staying in the Explorers Hotel for 4 nights.

Does anyone have any tips? What is it like compared to WDW?

Thanks!

most of the rides are much newer and therfore in the case of the roller coasters faster and with more inversions. e.g. space mountain.
dont make the mistake i made and queue up for indiana jones for 2 hours. its not worth it and if you go back in the late afternoon / early everning typically after the parade has finished the queue was only about 15 minutes.
make sure you check out the backlot tour in the disney studios park, there aren't as many props or sets but there is an added surprise compared to floridas.
enjoy your trip!

Im going to DLRP in November for the Bonfire Spectacular, and have been 5 or 6 times before. I love it!! I find the Disneyland Parc to be better designed than the Magic Kingdom, with better rides (albeit in French). Big Thunder and Pirates are 2 that stand out as better than their WDW counterparts. I also agree with it398 regarding Indian Jones ride. Its not worth the 2 hours waits it attracts early in the day, although riding it last Halloween with a Jedi in the carriage infront was funny! The Studios is a bit of a mix, some kick ______ attractions and some utter drivel. RnRC is good, though the inride themeing and preshow arent a patch on the MGM version. The highlight of the park is Moteurs, Action!! Stunt Show. It has you on the edge of your seat all the way through. If youve been to WDW recently you will probably have seen this at MGM already, which is a direct lift of the Paris version (including the Vauxhall Corsas!!)

Youll have a great time!!

I would suggest that you get to the park for opening time and ride space mountain as much as possible. What tends to happen is that all the charecters (sp) are out first thing. If like me - you think these are overatted (sacrilige but im only there to ride... :p) you can easily go against the grain and nail space mountain 3 times and then also big thunder mountain.

If there is a queue > 10 mins for indiana - just come back later - it aint worth a wait longer than that.... (and it doesnt go backwards anymore :( )
Jobs a goodun.... same goes for the studios... get on RNRC before the place gets rammed... same with the tram tours.

Read through the DLP forum and you will get all kinds of recent tips on ride information and the order you should do things. I posted a LONG update after my last trip. In general, you will find that the attractions are much better done at DLP than at WDW or DL, but the lines are longer on peak days as there is little traffic flow. People all work their way counterclockwise, so start at SMII, then go across the park and fastpass BTM, go on the Haunted Mansion, then go ride anything else you want. Indiana Jones is terrible - and I don't understand the lines. Dinsey Studios is best done first thing in the morning as well -- now that they have passepartouts (park hoppers) people go to Disneyland first, then go over to the studios to ride RNRC, then head back to Disneyland. Unlike FLorida, the two parks are seperated by mere feet, not miles. YOu walk up a 100 foot path from one to the other.

Enjoy!
