Hello—first-time poster here. For years, I’ve appreciated all the great information, and sometimes hilarious discussions (especially enjoy reading those after a long day at work!) on the WDW Magic Forums, Thanks to everyone, and special thanks to all the helpful, frequent contributors.
Few observations:
1) Visited Disney (FL) last week—my 22nd trip since the 80s. All the parks are still a blast—overall, Disney does a great job. Crowds were fairly heavy, especially in Fantasyland. The layout was somewhat confusing. Perhaps when the Mine Train construction walls come down, that area may be visually easier to navigate around.
2) Revamped Test Track:
This is still really fun to ride; although I do miss the previous educational, entry-area section of it, with the crash dummies, etc. (I know from reading past posts on this forum that changes had taken place.) Most people in the Test Track queue didn’t have a “clue” about what they were supposed to do in terms of creating some sort of car design at a kiosk, before getting to the actual ride. At one point in line, there was a container of plastic “cards” (I assume maybe to insert into a kiosk for creating a custom car design). I heard one kid ask his father what the cards were for. He said they’re probably souvenirs to take home, so the kid put it in his backpack! In conclusion, there really is no “direction” here either in signage at that point, nor any announcement made over a speaker, regarding this new, kiosk feature of Test Track. So, like many others in line ahead of me, I bypassed that section and walked directly to the ride. Maybe in time, Disney can make that area a bit clearer for guests.
