We are going on our first cruise in October on the Dream. We have added a land and sea package for the day before and the two days after.

DH
DD age 8

1 bedroom suite concierge level T on deck 11

Ground transportation- what time do you leave the resort from WDW? Will we be there in enough time to board early?

How do you get signed up to do FE for the October 1st-4th cruise to the Bahamas? And is it worth doing?

Also does concierge help with explaining the restaurant rotation ... is there a set schedule for what restaurant you start with. We have the 8:00 time slot for dinner. I am also in a wheelchair.

Will I be able to get around in Nassau as well.

Sorry for all of the questions....We have always just gone to DW so we are very excited about adding the cruise for this trip?
I am sure I will have many more questions as they arrive :)

DCL transfers usually leave WDW about noon or 12:30, the last I heard. You won't board early, and you won't be late either.

The FE is from another board, I'd ask over there.

Restaurant rotation is assigned when you check in, you won't know before then.

Hi Mrs. Minnie, I would strongly urge you to read the FAQ that is posted at the top of this forum. There is a TON of good info in there about dining and transfers, etc. The rotational dining is really easy to figure out. But if you're ever confused about your schedule, your concierge will gladly point you in the right direction. As Joe said, you won't know what your rotation is until you check in at the port. But if you don't like the rotation you get, you should be able to change it once you board. You can do that yourself, or I would bet that the concierge desk would handle it for you.

Mostly, just relax because you're going to have a great time!

Others' answers are very helpful. May we add, trip from WDW to Port Canaveral (PC) is about 1.5 so if depart noon-12:30, get to PC about 2 pm. This is actually okay since room availability is supposed to be at 1:30. Sail away is closer to 5 pm so you will have plenty of time except maybe for getting tickets to meet and greets (M&G) if applicable. Some prefer to be first onboard, we are on vacation when we cruise and do not share this opinion.

We prefer late seating so we think the 8 pm dinner time is awesome. Show first (6-6:30), then dinner (8 pm), so no rush if excursion is running late. We've been on Magic and Fantasy, but Dream sounds fun. We haven't been to Nassau but many excursions did state that they weren't able to handle wheelchair/scooter guests but interested to hear other advice.

Best wishes for a great cruise.
